Originally founded as ‘Powersport’ in late 2001, Thunderbird Specialties was the first company to offer a hard tonneau cover or ‘boot’ for the 2002 Thunderbird.  Powersport’s ‘Roadster Style’ Tonneau cover, a one-piece design featuring raised headrests and signature ‘Waterfall’ drop, was approved by Ford Motor Company as a dealer accessory late in 2005.  Powersport also introduced the first complete body kit for the 2002-2005 Thunderbird, known as the ‘California Custom’ package.  This package, created by noted automotive designer James R.
