Thunderbird OEM Rear Deck Protection Kit – This kit is the original OEM Ford accessory that was included with all new 2002-2005 Thunderbird. The kit contains clear mylar strips that attach to the rear deck to prevent the hardtop from scratching or damaging the paint finish. Ford recommended that the strips be replaced every year for maximum effectiveness.
If you enter your 2002-2005 Thunderbird in car show events or other judged competitions, you’ll want to make sure your car includes this factory accessory. Even if your Thunderbird is just an everyday driver, this protection kit will prevent scratches to your paint finish, prolonging the life and appearance of your Thunderbird’s exterior.
